"Nothing comes from nothing. Nothing ever could. So somewhere...I must have done something good." Last night was a mother's pay day. Every Monday night we dedicate to our Family Night. We sing songs, play games, have family discussions and lessons and treats.
Last night, my kids practically put on Family Night by themselves. My daughter taught us a beautiful lesson about treating our bodies with respect. My son had planned a scripture to act out with his siblings. And our littlest fully participated. It was such a joy to sit back and watch the evening unfold before our eyes.
Sometimes, as a parent, you wonder if your efforts matter. Is anything sinking in with my kids? Are they picking up on what I am trying to teach them? It's a pure joy when evenings like last night happen. It makes me feel like we must be doing something right. It was so enjoyable to just be together.
As a side note, I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, and all is well with baby. I think it might be awhile longer, although daily I keep thinking this baby is going to fall out any minute. But everything is well. The baby's heartbeat is perfect and he's measuring a good size. We will keep you all posted as to when our new little one joins the family. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. We love you.
