Happy Birthday Baby!

Happy 30th Birthday, my love!!!  Here are 30 reasons why it's so gosh darn wonderful to have you in my life.  I LOVE YOU!!!
(in no particular order...*wink*)
30.  You eat your birthday cake before it's your birthday and buy your own presents, which are actually duplicates of ones we've already bought you.
29.  The simple things you do that say, "I love you."  Like, doing the dishes....I'll never be able to load a dishwasher like you.
28.  You are brilliant!  I'm constantly amazed at the things you know.
27.  You are handy!  The money and headache you've saved us over the years are priceless.
26.  The way we can repeat the same conversation immediately, and numerous times and we think it's so funny.  Never gets old, never gets old.
25.  How you let me win in pool, and you brag about me being such a pool shark, even though we both know it's not true.
24. The way you rock our kids and talk with them.  It's heaven on earth.  There's just something about a Dad....
23.  Whipping the eggs...
22.  Watching you and Nicholas get so excited about sports or cars together.  I love it!
21.  How you promise to not spend any more money and then you go buy something nice for me, just cause
20.  Crackers, cheese, pickles and pepperoni
19.  Thanks for being my personal heating pad for my feet and hands.
18.  You're biceps really ARE the biggest.
17.  Watching anything with you is so much more fun than watching it alone.  Love our movie nights!
16.  Be about 5 min.  OK??  (Love our Szechwan)
15.  You hold my hand every time you get the chance.
14.  The protective side of you that comes out every so often
13.  Your eyes
12.  Letting me do whatever I dream of doing.  You are so supportive.  Even when it comes to painting rooms and moving furniture.  :-)
11.  The way you look in a shirt and tie.....Mmmm, mmmm, MMMMM!!
10.  Making me feel like we're still dating...you're so full of surprises
9.  Just talking in bed late at night, or early in the morning
8.  Evening prayers with you are something to look forward to
7.  "That wasn't suppose to hurt"
6.  Our kids.  We really do have the best!!
5.  The way you bless our home with your priesthood
4.  How you make time for whatever is important to me.  It becomes important to you too.
3.  Your listening ear, and shoulder to lean on
2.  You really are ruggedly handsome....you know
1.  Playing games with you, doing puzzles, reading books...everything is more fun with you!!

and one extra reason, just because....

How you make me fall deeper in love you with every day.  You've always been good at magic.  :-)

I LOVE YOU BABE!!  Have a great Birthday!

Thirty

In just a few short months, I will be turning a corner that no young woman looks forward to turning.  I will be turning the corner of THIRTY.  It's not that I mind being thirty.  I'm not really one to care about my age.  It's just that thirty, literally, doesn't sound fun.  Twenty is a pretty word to say.  When you say any twenty number, it almost rolls off your lips and hangs in the air.  Thirty sounds like you fell in a ditch, and a muddy one at that.  Try it.  Say "Twenty."  Now say "Thirty."  Doesn't it sound all hick-ish, and old and tired and....non-fun.

Okay, okay...so enough on that.  I think any monumental birthday makes you stop and think about your life.  Where you've been.  What you've become.  Who you're becoming still.  As I look back on my past twenty nine years, (won't say thirty yet) I feel very very blessed.  I've been so blessed to live a life of complete happiness.  My parents gave me nothing short of a picturesque childhood.  My teen years were full of fun with good friends and loving family.  My college years were good for growing and learning.  The love of my life (literally) made my prayers and dreams come true by proposing to me at Utah Lake when I was 21.  Complete happiness and pure joy has followed.  Marriage has been exciting and great.  Kids have come easily and when we've wished.  Yep!  I've been spoiled and I will fully admit that.  Life has treated me good, and I'm so grateful for the twenty nine years Heavenly Father has given me.

And as I look into the upcoming twenty nine years, I'm excited.  Our kids are growing up and just getting cuter everyday.  My husband, (who also turns thirty this year....sooner than I too, I might add) is looking amazing and oh so handsome.  We have a beautiful home...

I guess I just wanted to put out a post showing appreciation for my life.  What a wonderful world!  (Isn't that a song??)  It's a wonderful life!! (Isn't that a movie??)

That's all folks.  (Isn't that a...)
