Well, I just wanted to throw this question out into cyperspace for anyone to answer, and maybe no one knows...
My little Katie is 9 months and has been healthy her whole infancy. Recently, (past 7 weeks) she will vomit every 5-12 days for 3-4 hours. She has no other symptoms. We've kept track of her food intake to see if it's an allergy, but we haven't come up with anything yet that causes her to vomit.
Does anyone know what is going on with her? Any ideas what to do? Thanks!
Is she teething? An OB/GYN nurse friend of mine told me that when babies teeth, they sometimes can get very acidic tummies. My first two didn't have that problem, but Quin seems to. He had gone forever without spitting up, then just started doing it for a whole day or two, then out popped two teeth. Then he was back to not spitting up again. Just a thought. Also, and this is just my very own thinking, maybe she's regulating her own food intake - quantity-wise, you know? Taking too much in then realizing it was too much? Learning what she can take in comfortably? I don't know, like I said, my own thinking. :) Good luck with that!
ReplyDeleteIt might be an acid thing... but who knows because I am sure her food consumption is quite limited. My neice would throw up every 3rd Saturday on the dot. It was pretty crazy. They narrowed it down to acid build up in her stomach. She has to make sure to eat the right foods that reduce the acid build up and she has been fine since. That is my only guess!
