I finished my half marathon this past weekend, and oh how sweet it was! I hope this post doesn't come off as a "brag about myself" post, because it's not meant to be that way. I was just so thrilled that I completed my goal of running 13.1 miles! It was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. There were 435 people who ran, and I came in 202nd. My time was 2 hrs and 2 minutes. There were 85 people in my age division and I finished 30th. I was pleased with my results. Honestly, I am excited to run it again to try to improve. I held back a bit because it was my first and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very nervous...ask my husband...and I wanted to be sure I had enough energy to cross the finish line strong.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. I knew that my family and friends were cheering me on, and I could really feel there prayers. Literally feel them! It was a miracle. I remember specific times during my race where I felt like I was "on the wings of eagles." It was a really neat experience, and I'm grateful to have had the chance to run.
It was so awesome to see my three sweet kiddos and my handsome husband standing at the finish line cheering me to the finish! It gave me that extra push to finish strong. They have been so supportive of me and my desire to do this. My husband deserves specially recognition...for cheering me on not only at the race but through all my months of training. He made me believe in myself. Thanks Babe. I love you forever!

You are simply INCREDIBLEEEE! I have no idea how you find time to train, take care of the kids, hubby, house, etc. You inspire me! I'm not quite inspired enough to run a half marathon, haha, as I have no idea how I would even begin training. But you inspire me in how you set goals and reach them and ACCOMPLISH them! WOW! You're high on a pedestal in my book! :)
