Sick Day Academy Awards

For those of you who keep up with my blog, and have been missing my daily postings...(as if I've ever done one of those!)....It's due to the fact that our household has not been well since Easter evening at 7:21 P.M. But whose keeping track anyway?! It really has been a crazy month! I feel like I'm spinning my wheels and getting no where. It's probably due to the fact that my washer and dryer have sure been spinning alot recently and I have been spending a lot of quality time with my washer and dryer.

You know, you can Gain a lot from living in your laundry room. That Tide of frustration and weariness that can Spray & Wash right over you when your family is sick is sure to make you feel Downy. But once you take your Arm, & Hammer away at that load before you, All your frustrations seem to Bounce away. Lifting a fresh load of laundry out of the dryer can give you the Snuggles and is sure to Cheer you right up. (Can you see how long I've been trapped in there?!)

It's like a never ending day whose events are all running together. I woke up today thinking, "OH!! I'm so glad it's almost Saturday!" And, well....when I realized it was Tuesday in the year 2010, I was flabbergasted.

During this time of "flu season" at our house, I wish to express gratitude for the following....
1. My husband, who has somehow continued to make me feel like a beautiful queen, instead of the dirty laundress I feel like.
2. My washer and dryer....OH!!! HOW I LOVE THEM!!!
3. My dishwasher who I trust will sanitize all my sippy cups and spoons 100% every time!
4. My sister Amber, who cares so much when really she has had a much bigger "pile of laundry" for a much longer period of time. I love you!
5. Denver Mattress, for the deodorizer we bought from you when we first got married. I knew I would need it someday! Best stuff EVER!!!
6. All the little people I've had to step on to get here. Literally! I don't think my kids have ever had so many "play date invites" as they have had while they are sick. It's been nice to know that someone in the neighborhood misses us, or at least our cool toys.
7. The coming of spring...how I can actually "air out" my house!!! LOVELY!!!
8. The makers of the following products: apple juice, Gatorade, 7-UP, white bread, Popsicles, saltine crackers, and television. (Please don't think we're eating TV.)
9. Toilet paper and a flushable toilet....I think that's all that needs to be said.
and finally....
10. My perfect children who even when they are sick say, "Thank you for holding the bucket." and "I'm sorry I threw up!" That's sweet kids if I've ever seen em...and they live in my house! I'm so lucky!!

  1. Oh Erin - you are wonderwoman (is that two words or one?) I hope things are starting to "get better" at your house. Wish I lived close to help out. I love your post though, as always. Love ya!
